TIBCO BusinessEvents 6 now supports the ability to easily generate application metrics that can be published to InfluxDB.
Setup is very simple and only requires configuration of the InfluxDB metrics store within the Cluster Configuration Descriptor (CDD) file:
Once the Metrics Store is configured, you can then add specific Concept and Events that you want to generate metrics for under the Entity Configurations section of the CDD.
Entity Filters can be applied to filter out the entity based on your requirements using any Rule Function that returns a boolean.
Application Metrics Entities configured are serialised to InfluxDB with each series field keys comprised of entity object property values as defined in your Concept or Event object.
At runtime and upon completion of a RTC, the BusinessEvents engine will emit your application metrics of any objects that have been modified listed in the Entity Configuration section of the CDD.
You can use tools such as Grafana to build your own application dashboards for you Contextual Event Processing applications!
